Our mission is to help build a community of recovery where residents in our home find their passion, purpose, and build a life that they love.
Our team has dedicated their lives to furthering this mission, and we will not give up until our residents have the resources and tools, they need to be successful in life. Everyone deserves another chance.
THE FOUR DIMENSIONS OF RECOVERY:
1. Health: Overcoming or managing addiction and living in a physically and emotionally healthy way.
2. Home: a stable and safe place to live.
3. Purpose: meaningful daily activities, such as a job, school, volunteerism, and family.
4. Community: relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope.
Michell is one of the best! She is very strong in her recovery and will always tell you the truth. She has a big heart and you will want to be her friend, because she's always looking at the bigger picture. I believe she has found her purpose at The Lakes Recovery.
Amy has a huge heart, and always sees the best in people. She has struggled throughout her recovery journey, but celebrated 7 years this year, has a college degree, a beautiful family, and has found her purpose working with the women at The Lakes Recovery.
Margaret is a strong leader, who will do anything to protect those she loves. She celebrated 18 years of sobriety this year and honestly, she has the life many strive for, all thanks to her sobriety and the program of AA.
Please reach us at info@thelakesrecovery.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Rent is $750. If that is not an amount you can afford, you can sign up for GRH / Housing Assistance through the county.
We are happy to take you to Crow Wing County, where you will have a short interview with someone, fill out some paperwork & then they will give us the A-OK if you are approved for Housing Assistance.
At first, you will likely have a roommate. We offer room dividers for your privacy.
You can ask the house manager if you can be put on our list.
Absolutely! We encourage the women to apply for housing assistance before moving in. That leaves a bit of time to find a sponsor, a home group, and to feel apart of something. We have resources to make/fix a resume when you are ready to become employed.
We are located 1 block away from Cub Foods, the Dollar Store, Habitat for Humanity, and the Alano Club. There is also Dial-a-Ride services for our residents.
Hi there! We all come from a long line of addiction that runs deep through our families.
We are all passionate about sharing the ways that we can help you love the life you have, where you are today. Building a recovery community (of your choice) is key. We hope you will find the tools that you'll need to flourish in the Brainerd Lakes Area recovery community.
